ISA:Ikut Suka Aku

Took this while joining with other thousands of rakyat during the nomination day of Permatang Pauh By-Election on 16th August 2008. Among other bloggers spotted were Haris Ibrahim, Din Merican, Zorro Unmasked etc.

So yesterday RPK was detained under Internal Security Act, well-known as ISA. If you 're unsure what is ISA, it's an Act where you'll be locked up in Kamunting prison for (at least) 60 days without needed to be charged in court. And the responsible minister will review your case after that, whether should continue for (at least) 2 years, or released just like that.

It is an Act that, hush...really...really...really AGAINST the HUMAN RIGHTS!

But what can we do, our country seems to be happy to use it. Use it against "political criminal" like RPK who, they thought, was never been able to be shut up. The funny thing is, his portal ban was lifted a day before!

Clearly, i do not believe the content of the articles was the main reason. If so, why not just charge him in Syariah Court for insulting our Prophet Muhammad SAW. Clearly, the rakyat would never believe it.

I don't know what will happen next...really don't have an idea. Like Rocky said, just being Malaysian...hope this phenomenon isn't what we expect = the Operasi Lalang:part ll.

Really...huh...hope for a better Malaysia...

Exhibition lagi....

Esok aku akan outstation lagi! Kali ni event kat Hospital Sultanah Bahiyah, Alor Setar. Kira-kira sejam dari rumah aku di Permatang Pauh. Walaupun tak lah jauh, tapi huhu...terpaksa berjauhan lagi dengan isteri tercinta demi komitmen kerja (until Selasa ni je ok syg...). Last month almost 2 weeks dah outstation ke KL & Langkawi. Penat-penat...

Event ni sebenarnya ialah National Conference in Emergency Medicine, menghimpunkan pakar-pakar kecemasan (terutamanya dari Hospital-hospital utama kerajaan) dari seluruh Malaysia, untuk membincangkan berbagai-bagai isu berkenaan perubatan kecemasan terkini. Kebanyakan daripada pakar-pakar ni adalah Ketua Jabatan di Jabatan Kecemasan dan akan menyampaikan "talks" mereka masing2.

Well, aku tak perlu masuk pun untuk dengar "talks" tu. yang terlibat hanyalah peserta-peserta yg kebanyakannya adalah medical officers (doktor), medical assistant, staffnurses & sebagainya. So kitorang sebagai supplier / pembekal yg bertanggungjawab (maklumlah barang2 yg kitorang jual tu lah yg doktor akan gunakan utk, contohnya, menyelamatkan nyawa seseorang...) cuma participate dengan membuka booth utk mempamerkan barang2 "save your lives" terkini! hehe...

As life goes on.
